BIVOUAC RIDE 2024

OZARKS

We're "getting lost" in the Ozarks. Heading to the Dam Site Lake Campground on Beaver Lake in the town of Garfield, Arkansas.

This trip is a simulation of a mini deployment. A camping trip off the grid using primitive camping sites. We're roughing it. A disconnect from technology.

Cell phone usage will be limited to:

  1. Simple text letting someone know you're alive
  2. Emergencies
  3. Taking pictures
  4. We just do not want everyone stuck to their phones and to get the best experience possible. No drama - so make sure your loved ones know you will not be reaching out very often. This is a mental health disconnect. Re-living our youth in the military. With distractions from home you will not get the desired affects that this trip can offer. Airplane mode is suggested.
  5. If family or loved ones cannot accept these limitations then this may not be the trip for you. Please advise them so everyone can enjoy the trip.
